Big D Charity Horse Show was formally established in 1974 and is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial support to our annual charity, Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. It is by your continued generous support we’ve been able to accomplish our 2023 donation commitment and put on a first-class horse show.

Today, we continue to help kids without limits - just as we’ve been doing every day since 1921.

 A recurring gift helps ensure cost is never a barrier to receiving world-class care. Nearly 350,000 children have received the life-changing treatments required to thrive and excel through their personal challenges to go on and inspire others. Their parents found world-renowned experts who could put a name on their child’s condition, create an individualized treatment plan and give their child the help and support they needed to engage in their favorite activities and reach their boundless potential. Patients receive treatment regardless of their family’s ability to pay. There are three locations in North Texas - Dallas, Frisco and the Star in Frisco - to serve the growing pediatric patient population.

 Because of you, for more than 50 years Big D Charity Horse Show has raised more than $500,000.00 for Metroplex charities. It is something we never take for granted, and sincerely hope you feel very much a part of our success.

Your support makes possible ongoing care for more than 15,000 children each year as well as funds our annual horse show. Several hundred horsemen make their way from all across the nation to support Big D in its effort to reach out to others. As a spectator, exhibitor, and sponsor you will witness the excitement of American Saddlebred Horses, Morgan Horses, and Road Ponies competing for trophies and prizes.
